Become a TFC sponsor

Thank you for your interest in sponsorship! Your support can change a young person's life for the long term. Many children seeking sponsorship live as half-orphans with one parent, as full orphans with relatives, or in foster families. Often even basic needs cannot be met.

Your sponsorship enables a child to attend school regularly. As a sponsor you can stay in touch – for example through letters or video messages. At the end of the school year you receive your sponsored child's report.

Rwanda has a young population: almost 40% of residents are under 15. Public schools are free for grades 1–9 – yet uniforms, materials and meals overwhelm many families. Especially in rural areas, facilities and teachers are scarce; on average one teacher may supervise up to 60 pupils. About 30% leave school early.

Sponsored children attend a private school built and run by Teens for Christ, with strong pastoral care – including showers to support health.

1. Get in touch: Email us – we will send a selection of child profiles.
2. Agreement: You receive a written agreement with all terms.
3. Return: Sign and return the agreement.
4. Payment: Transfer the fee – ideally as a standing order.
5. Introduction: You receive an introductory letter from your sponsored child.
