Teens for Christ – Rwanda

Unser Partnerverein in Ruanda (Ostafrika). TFC setzt sich für Versöhnung, Bildung und praktische Nächstenliebe ein – und öffnet jungen Menschen neue Perspektiven.

Our vision / mission

TFC-Rwanda actively works for reconciliation and healing the wounds left by the genocide. Through targeted education programmes and practical compassion, the organisation seeks to rekindle lost hope and open new prospects for young people in Rwanda. The team is convinced that faith has transforming power that gives hope to those without prospects and strengthens peace in the country.

A look at Rwanda's history

In 1994 Rwanda suffered a devastating genocide in which the Tutsi population was systematically persecuted by extremist Hutu groups. Within only 100 days an estimated 800,000 to 1 million people were brutally killed. These tragic events left deep wounds in Rwandan society that still shape the country today.

TFC-Rwanda does vital work to heal the wounds of the past and build a more hopeful future. Through education, strengthening faith and practical help, the organisation contributes to sustainable development and reconciliation.

Spiritual strengthening and community

TFC-Rwanda organises devotionals, Bible courses and seminars to strengthen faith and community. The organisation offers spiritual accompaniment and ways to build a strong local faith network.

Education and equal opportunity

TFC-Rwanda works to give disadvantaged children access to education. Running its own school is central to the vision; school sponsorships aim to offer young people a better future.

Support for social projects

Alongside education and gospel work, TFC runs social projects – from meal programmes and family care to income-generating measures such as the goat project and the Tabitha sewing course.
